Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals will take place in Barcelona from December 19 to 22, 2024, offering padel fans the opportunity to witness the climax of the 2024 season. 16 best players and players, determined by the FIP Race ranking, will compete to win the prestigious title of champion.
FIP Race Ranking: a sophisticated qualification system
The qualification process is based on the FIP Race ranking, a system based on the individual performances of players throughout the season. This ranking takes into account the results obtained during tournaments Premier Padel et of the FIP Tour. To determine the participants in the Finals, only the 22 best results of each player will be counted. In total, the 2024 season included 23 tournaments Premier Padel and more than 150 FIP tournaments.
The list of 16 players qualified for the Finals will be established at the end of the Milan Premier Padel P1, scheduled for December 8, 2024.
Equal prices and points: a new format
For the first time in the history of this competition, a fair distribution of prize money and FIP points between the men's and women's competitions is planned. With a total prize fund of 600 000 €, players will be awarded identical amounts based on their performance. The winners, for example, will each receive 52 500 € et 1 FIP points, while the finalists will pocket 30 000 € et 900 FIP points.
A match for 3rd place: a novelty for fans
Another innovation: a match for 3rd place will be played between the losers of the semi-finals, just before the final on the last day. This new feature, introduced in accordance with theProfessional Players Association of Padel (PPP) and International Association of Football Players Padel (IPPA), aims to enrich the show for fans and offer more competitive matches.
