Alix Collombon and Julieta Bidahorria won a match lasting almost three hours for their entry into the competition at Premier Padel Genova P2.

As in the first clash between the pairs Bidahorria / Collombon and Arruabarrena (61) / Polo (68), the meeting started in a very balanced manner. Thanks to a break at the best of times, the Franco-Argentinian pair managed to lead 5/3 in the first set and seemed set to take the lead. But the qualifiers were able to re-mobilize to grab a tie-break which they won mentally: 7/6 (5).

Not recovered from the loss of this first round which seemed certain to them, the favorites of the match were quickly led 3/0 in the second set. Behind, they took advantage of a physiotherapy break (to place a strap on Bidahorria's right kneecap) to regain their emotions. Getting back into the fight, they played six games together to get back to one set all: 6/4.

Finally released, the Lyonnaise and her teammate put their paw on the match and subsequently had no difficulty in upholding their status as favorites. As in Chile, they made the comeback against Arruabarrena / Polo and won a match which lasted almost three hours.

In the end, they won 6/7 6/4 6/1 and avenged the Godallier / Marchetti pair who lost in the first round of the previas against the Spaniards. Thanks to this success, Alix and Julieta will compete tomorrow against the new version of the Ortega / Araujo pair (TS4).
