Same tournament, same tracks, same categories… but not necessarily the same prize money. In 2026, the prize money Premier Padel remains significantly different between the men's and women's circuits , particularly in the P1 and P2 tournaments.
The official 2026 regulations, published separately for men and women, allow for a precise measurement of these differences. And the situation is more complex than a simple opposition between the men's and women's circuits: At some Majors, the bounties are identical, while at other events the differences can almost double.
Premier Padel P1: €52,540 per pair for men versus €34,000 for women
This is probably the most telling example.
On a Premier Padel P1 the winner receives €26,270 per player for men , against €17,000 per female player .
On the scale of a pair, this represents:
€52,540 for male champions versus €34,000 for female champions.
Is A difference of €18,540 for the winning pair .
The men's regulations also set the minimum prize money for a P1 at approximately € 309 , against €170,000 in the women's regulations .
Prize money P1: men / women
| Result | Men / player | Men's / pair | Women / player | Women's / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winners | € 26 | € 52 | € 17 | € 34 |
| finalists | € 13 | € 27 | € 9 | € 18 |
| Semifinalists | € 7 | € 14 | € 5 | € 10 |
| Quarter-finalists | € 4 | € 9 | € 3 | € 7 |
| eighth | € 2 | € 5 | € 2 | € 4 |
| 1/16 | € 1 | € 3 | € 1 | € 2 |
| Final qualifying round | 870 € | € 1 | 723 € | € 1 |
The official tables confirm these individual amounts.
For the winners, the difference therefore reaches €9 per player , which is a male premium of approximately 54,5% higher .
Premier Padel P2: a smaller gap, but still present
On the P2s, the difference is reduced but remains significant.
A male winner receives € 13 , against €11,000 for the winner .
On the scale of a pair:
€27,920 for men versus €22,000 for women.
Prize money P2: men / women
| Result | Men / player | Men's / pair | Women / player | Women's / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winners | € 13 | € 27 | € 11 | € 22 |
| finalists | € 8 | € 16 | € 6 | € 12 |
| Semifinalists | € 4 | € 9 | € 3 | € 6 |
| Quarter-finalists | € 2 | € 5 | € 2 | € 4 |
| eighth | € 1 | € 3 | € 1 | € 2 |
| 1/16 | € 1 | € 2 | 963 € | € 1 |
| Final qualifying round | 828 € | € 1 | 509 € | € 1 |
The official amounts appear in both 2026 tables.
For a victory, the margin is therefore €2 per player and of €5,920 per pair .
Majors: where the situation becomes much more surprising
It is with the major labels that the comparison becomes particularly interesting.
The women's regulations do indeed distinguish in 2026 two levels of Majors designated in the grid as Major I et Major II .
And the amounts are radically different.
Major I: near-perfect equality between men and women
On the Women's Majors category Major I Individual prize money is exactly the same as for men up to the main rounds.
A male and female champion thus both receive € 48 .
One winning pair therefore takes home:
€97,400 for both men and women.
Prize money Major I: men / women
| Result | Men / player | Men's / pair | Women / player | Women's / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winners | € 48 | € 97 | € 48 | € 97 |
| finalists | € 24 | € 48 | € 24 | € 48 |
| Semifinalists | € 13 | € 27 | € 13 | € 27 |
| Quarter-finalists | € 8 | € 17 | € 8 | € 17 |
| eighth | € 5 | € 10 | € 5 | € 10 |
| 1/16 | € 3 | € 6 | € 3 | € 6 |
| 1/32 | € 1 | € 3 | € 1 | € 3 |
| Final qualifying round | € 1 | € 2 | € 1 | € 2 |
Both sets of regulations clearly state the same prize money per player at this Major level.
It should be noted, however, that the overall envelope is not strictly identical , particularly due to the composition and size of the tables: the men's regulation announces approximately € 540 , while the Women's Major I is announced at € 503 .
But for players reaching the same main rounds, Equality is very real.
Major II: almost double the price
And that's where the situation becomes much more dramatic.
For the Women's Majors of the level Major II , a champion no longer receives €48,700, but € 24 .
In other words :
€48,700 per player for men versus €24,750 for women.
In pairs, this gives:
€97,400 for male champions versus only €49,500 for female champions.
Prize money Major: men / Major II women
| Result | Men / player | Men's / pair | Women / player | Women's / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winners | € 48 | € 97 | € 24 | € 49 |
| finalists | € 24 | € 48 | € 12 | € 24 |
| Semifinalists | € 13 | € 27 | € 6 | € 13 |
| Quarter-finalists | € 8 | € 17 | € 4 | € 9 |
| eighth | € 5 | € 10 | € 3 | € 6 |
| 1/16 | € 3 | € 6 | € 1 | € 3 |
| 1/32 | € 1 | € 3 | € 1 | € 2 |
| Final qualifying round | € 1 | € 2 | 791 € | € 1 |
The official women's grid notably confirms the €24,750 for the champion 12,375 € for the finalist and 6,875 € for the semi-finalists.
Therefore, the gap is enormous with a victory:
€23 per player i.e €47,900 for the pair .
The prize money for the men's champion pair is thus almost twice as high to that of the women's champion pair at this Major level.
A summary of the champions' bonuses
To immediately visualize the differences:
| Category | Men / player | Men's / pair | Women / player | Women's / pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Major I | € 48 | € 97 | € 48 | € 97 |
| Major II* | € 48 | € 97 | € 24 | € 49 |
| P1 | € 26 | € 52 | € 17 | € 34 |
| P2 | € 13 | € 27 | € 11 | € 22 |
*The Major I / Major II distinction appears only in the 2026 women's regulations. For men, only one Major grid is presented.
The Finals were also very different
Differences also appear in the budgets allocated for the Premier Padel finals
The men's regulations stipulate a minimum prize money of € 284 , while the women's regulations mention € 150 .
However, The detailed breakdown pages provided in the regulations used here do not present a round-by-round Finals grid comparable to those of the Major, P1 and P2. .
Even the mechanisms of evolution are different
Another particularly interesting element: The two sets of regulations do not provide for the same mechanism for the evolution of prize money.
For men, the allowances are increased by 1,5% each year , with a composite calculation designed to take inflation into account.
For women, the regulations stipulate a discussion on prize money starting in 2026 and then every five years. For the first review, an increase of 5% is provided for under the conditions defined by the text.
Therefore, it's not simply a matter of different amounts: the system designed to adjust these amounts is itself not identical.
So, why such a difference?
From a sporting perspective, the question is difficult to avoid.
Premier Padel today organizes the men's and women's circuits under the same banner, during the same weeks of competition and with a common international exposure.
However, the 2026 regulations show three very different situations.
On some majors , equality of individual bonuses already exists.
On the P1 and P2 Men are still paid more.
And on Women's Major II the gap becomes particularly significant, with €97,400 for the men's champion pair versus €49,500 for the women's champion pair .
Perhaps this figure ultimately sums up the debate best.
Because if Premier Padel It has already been demonstrated in some Majors that complete equality is possible; the question now is... if this logic could gradually be extended to the entire calendar.
