LE PREMIER PADEL P1 DE MADRID, THE FIRST ANNOUNCED P1 EVENT IN EUROPE, WILL BE HELD AT THE WIZINK CENTER FROM AUGUST 1-6.

Premier Padel, the official world circuit of padel, governed by the International Federation of padel (FIP) and supported by the Professional Padel Association (PPA) and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), is pleased to announce the first “P1” tournament held in Europe, in the historic nation of padel : Spain.

Le Premier Padel Madrid P1 will take place from August 1 to 6 at the WiZink CENTER, entering the scene in the largest market in the padel in the world, while the circuit is in full expansion. The annual tournament will be hosted in Madrid under a multi-year deal. Qualifying will take place on July 30 and 31, followed by the main draw.

Madrid Premier Padel P1 is the second P1, Category 2 tournament to be announced after Argentina Premier Padel P1, unveiled earlier this year. the Premier Padel is the only circuit to offer official ranking points to players and P1 tournaments will award 1000 points to winners, as well as a prize money record, as with all P1 events.

Few countries can match the passion that Spain has for the padel. The country has nearly 6 million participants in the padel, more than 11 plots of padel and more than 1 clubs from padel distributed throughout Spain. Thus, the Madrid Premier Padel P1 is sure to be one of the biggest sporting events on the Spanish calendar. the Premier Padel will host at least ten (10) new tournaments in 2022 – including four Category 1 “Major” events. The first Major – the Before Qatar Premier Padel Major – took place in Doha in March. The second, the First Major of Padel of Italy at the Foro Italico which ended a fortnight ago. The other category 1 tournaments are the Paris Premier Padel Major at Roland Garros Stadium which runs from July 11 to 17, and the First major of padel from Mexico at Club Sonoma in Monterrey, Mexico from November 28 to December 4. L'Argentina Premier Padel P1 will take place from August 8 to 14. Other tournaments will be announced very, very soon.

The PPA is delighted to shape the future of the sport as part of the Premier Padel Tower with the help of players who will for the very first time be placed at the heart of the development of this sport. The PPA is looking forward to the first P1 event in Europe and we are sure that the WiZink Center in Madrid will be a worthy venue for the occasion. This event will be spectacular for players, supporters and all fans of padel. "
