Preprevias WPT Barcelona Master: it's over for the French

Alors que le Sardegna Open from World Padel Tour is still in full swing, it's another WPT tournament that started today: the WPT Barcelona Master.

There were only two French people registered in the WPT Barcelona Master preprevias and they both lost.

This morning, Thomas Leygue and Guillermo Casal had undergone the law of Manuel Prado Prego (127) and José Manuel Ortiz Llere (254) in the first round of the preprevias: 6/4 7/5.

After winning their first match against Pepe Aliaga Cruz /Adrián Marqués Berdonce (6/2 6/4), Johan Bergeron and Adrian Ronco were beaten by Roger Aromi Siquier (161) and Ferran Insa Sotillo (163). In this revenge of the first round of the Cascais Master preprevias, the Franco-Spanish pair once again lost. While they had pushed their opponents to the third set in Portugal, the French and the Spaniard had a lot more trouble today: loss 6/3 6/1.

Tomorrow is Benjamin Brand et Marc Quílez who will enter this tournament against Miguel Ángel Solbes (92) and Miguel González García (91), in the first round of the previas. Start of the match at 16 p.m.

Finally, as usual, we will find two French women on Wednesday in the main draw. Léa Godallier and Ariadna Cañellas were clearly not spoiled in the draw since they face in the sixteenth Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero, seeded 4!

For Alix Collombon and Jessica Castello the draw was more lenient. Indeed, the champion of France and her partner are opposed to Raquel Piltcher (33) and Alicia Blanco (51).
