We told you a few weeks ago, we are only at the beginning of an adventure that will lead us, hopefully to the Olympics.

Luigi Carraro, President of the International Federation of Padel, leads the battle. He told us last December: “I have a mission, to integrate the padel in the Olympic family ”.

And good news, the International Federation of padel officially presented in Lausanne, the padel to the sports director of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Mr Kit Mcconnell.

A timely information that allows the world of padel to move forward after the announcement of the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (OCOG) to offer sports other than padel at the IOC last February.

If you padel does not favor the OCOG, which, let us remember, is a non-decision-making body but which submits guidelines and proposals to the IOC, the FIP's strategy seems clear: Address the IOC directly and show it that the padel has its place to join the Olympic family during the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

Hold your breath, because the twists and turns of 2024 will certainly be very numerous.

The OCOG does not propose padel for the 2024 Olympics
