We continue with the psychology counseling series byEli Amatriain. Today, the Spanish player from Black Crown Padel explains how to define our goals.

“The setting of objectives is fundamental at all levels of the game. They allow us to gauge our performance on specific stocks.”

You must then respect three theoretical practices that will help you set good goals during your matches or training.

The objectives must therefore be:

  • difficult but achievable. These objectives must always allow us to motivate ourselves to achieve them.
  • short term. “I never set goals for multiple years because I would lose motivation.”
  • performance-oriented, and not on the results. “The return depends on us, but not the result. This also depends on the opponents, or the playing conditions. ”
