The Qatar Major 2025 ended with a new demonstration of Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia , who won in two sets against Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto (7/6 6/2). A solid victory that allows them to retain their crown in Doha and continue to establish their domination on the circuit. Premier Padel.
An intense but decisive first round
The start of the match is nevertheless ideal for Galan and Chingotto , very focused and well in place. Facing them, a Feverish Coello , struggling in defense and author of several unforced errors. On the other side, Wall starts off strong, but it's not enough to avoid an early break in favor of the second seed. Thanks to a well-thought-out strategy, playing quickly with their feet and breaking the rhythm, Chingotto and Galán lead 2/4.
But Coello is getting more powerful. More precise, especially by using lobs to Galán to prevent him from smashing, he gradually regains his level. At 4/2, the Spanish-Argentine pair breaks, then continues. Chingotto and Galán, who must maintain great lucidity to apply their tactics, show signs of slackening. The set is played at tie-breaker Where Tapia makes the difference with several winning smashes , helped by two lob errors from Chingotto. The set logically falls into the hands of the number 1s: 7/6 .
A second set without appeal
Boosted by this first act, Coello and Tapia rolled into the second set. The duo set a hellish pace on the fly, with Coello rediscovering his incisive form. Opposite, Chingotto makes many mistakes , less sharp than usual, while Galán struggles to reverse the dynamic. The match definitely changes and the leaders of the classification fly away to conclude on a 6/2 net.

Coello and Tapia, the kings of Doha
With this victory, Coello becomes the first player to win at least one Major every season since 2022 . Tapia and he consolidate their status as world number 1 , adding a second title to their season after the Riyadh Season P1 .
At the same time, they sign their eleventh victory against Galán / Chingotto , and confirm that they have definitely taken the upper hand since their last defeat against this pair in Genoa, in July 2024.
Galán and Chingotto stopped dead in their tracks
For their part, Galán and Chingotto, who had won two consecutive titles in Miami and Santiago, failed in their attempt to secure a first series of three trophies. They will have to wait a little longer to win their first Qatar Major , a tournament where Galán had already lost in the final in 2022 .
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
