A very good start for the French in the  Bordeaux qualifications Premier Padel P2 In rather slow conditions, several French riders were already on the track this Sunday, with two French victories and a big disappointment for  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq , came very close to a very big score.

The performance of the day, so far, comes from  Thomas Leygue / Javier Valdés , authors of a big victory against  Teodoro Zapata / Adrian Naranjo Martinez Pair #10 of these qualifications:  6/7 7/5 6/4 , After  2h52 of combat .

The match had, however, started badly.  Zapata / Naranjo  They get into the game better, break quickly, and even earn double break points. But when it comes time to close out the first set,  Leygue / Valdés  They come back and push the set to a tie-break.

Seurin / Bergeron mentally

More good news from the French side:  Julien Seurin / Johan Bergeron  have also secured their place in the second round of qualifying.

The French prevail against the Spanish.  German Rodriguez Quesada / Manuel Valcarcel Sanchez  on the score of  6/1 2/6 6/4 .

The first set was completely controlled. Seurin and Bergeron adapted very well to the conditions, imposed their rhythm, while the Spaniards made many mistakes.

But as often happens after a one-sided set, the momentum shifted. The French players lost some intensity, Rodriguez Quesada and Valcarcel Sanchez raised their level, and the second set slipped away from them.  6/2 .

In the third set, Seurin/Bergeron regained control. The French pair were clearly superior in the key moments, and they made the difference to secure the victory.  6/4 .

A solid victory, important to kick-start their tournament.

Muesser / Hugounenq very close to the big score

The disappointment comes from  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq who came very close to a very strong performance against  Adam Axelsson / Rodrigo Coello Manso .

The French bow down  6/7 6/2 7/5 , despite having won a very close first set in a tie-break,  11 - 9 .

Facing a pair close to the world's top 100, Muesser and Hugounenq long believed they could pull off an upset. But after losing the second set, the match remained very close in the deciding set.

À  5/5 The French finally cracked on a service game, allowing Axelsson/Coello to take the lead and then close out the match.

A real shame, because there was clearly an opportunity to secure a second very fine French victory on this qualifying day.
