Passionate about football and tennis, I have been playing ping-pong for three years. More recently, I discovered padel and what a thrill! Basketball, rugby, golf and rally: more new sports that I follow regularly. Otherwise on the cultural side, since I love giving my opinion, I write reviews of films and video games.
Excellent article on pickleball, a growing sport that is rapidly gaining popularity in France and Europe.
I would simply like to clarify a point mentioned in the article: Pickleball France is not attached to the French Tennis Federation (FFT).
Pickleball has been practiced in France since 2016 under the exclusive management of the Pickleball France Federation (FPF). You can consult the history of its development by following this link: https://www.pickleballfrance.org/la-federation.
For several years, pickleball has been developing mainly within clubs and municipal infrastructures, through associations affiliated, for the most part, to the FPF. However, since last year, the FFT has integrated pickleball into its statutes. This advance opens up new playing opportunities within tennis clubs, while complementing the work already accomplished by the Pickleball France Federation.
The FPF is affiliated with the World Pickleball Federation (WPF) and the European Pickleball Federation (EPF). It also follows international standards for the development and practice of the sport, particularly with regard to training, refereeing and ranking.
