Le  paddle  continues to attract major players in sports and marketing. The HEINEKEN Company brand has officially announced a partnership with Serena Williams, now a global ambassador for  Heineken® 0.0 , with an initial operation focused on the practice of padel.

 A field activation via Playtomic

The launch relied on the Playtomic platform, used to organize matches between players.

In Miami, several players booked a game via the feature  Open Match  They discovered at the last minute that their partner was Serena Williams. The event continued with a post-match discussion, in a simple format focused on the interaction between the players.

Benjamin Blot actually talks about it in his column on LinkedIn.

Padel as a means of activation

This initiative is part of a series of actions planned for 2026 around padel, with a clear objective: to use this sport as  a lever for connecting practitioners .

The choice of padel is based on several characteristics:

  • accessible practice
  • short format
  • ease of playing with strangers
  • strong social dimension

These factors make it a suitable site for operations of  brand content  and activation.

A positioning consistent with the evolution of padel

The presence of a figure like Serena Williams in this type of operation confirms the evolution of padel towards a wider ecosystem, at the crossroads of sport and entertainment.

At the same time, professional players like Arturo Coello, Alejandro Galán or Juan Lebrón remain the sporting references, while brands develop complementary formats around amateur practice.

A trend that is set to continue

Other similar operations are announced during the year, always via the Playtomic platform.

Without changing the way the professional circuit works, these activations help to structure the padel environment, by strengthening its visibility and multiplying points of contact with the general public.

Padel is thus gradually becoming part of a system where coexist  sports performance  et  experiences designed for practitioners .
