The year 2025 of Premier Padel is coming soon. The season will officially kick off on February 10 with the P1 of Riyadh. Before this kick-off, a question arises: who will be the pair world number 1 at the end of the season?

Can Coello/Tapia be dethroned?

According to a survey conducted on the X account of Carlota Palma (@Palmacarlota) regarding the pair world number 1 for next season, 674 votes were recorded, with three options proposed: the pair Tapia-Coello, current world number 1, the pair Chingotto-Galan, current world number 2, and finally the new pair that is making a lot of noise, Stupaczuk-Lebron.

  • 84.7 % of votes for Wall-Coello
  • 4.7 % of votes for Galan-Chingotto
  • 10.5 % of votes for Stupaczuk-Lebron

Unsurprisingly, the current world number 1 pair, Tapia-Coello, won the poll by a wide margin with more than 80% votes. It is worth remembering that this pair dominated the world rankings in 2023 and 2024, chaining together an exceptional season with 14 titles and 47 consecutive victories.

Galan/Chingotto, second favourites?

What is more unexpected is the number of votes for the pair Stupa-Lebron, which ranks second with 10.5%, ahead of the world number 2s, Chingotto-Galan, hoping to finish number 1 at the end of the year.

The duo Chingotto-Galan has, however, demonstrated its ability to disrupt the plans of world leaders, despite the domination rather marked by the number 1s. Together, Chingotto and Galán have won five titles and occupy the 4th and 3rd places respectively in the FIP ranking. A real rivalry has developed between these two world premier pairs, who frequently meet in the final, thus giving rise to what is now called “the Classico” of padel.

The Stupa/Lebron pairing is generating interest.

Coming in second place in the polls with 10,5% votes, this pair raises some questions, given that we have never seen these two players play together on the same court. Lebron returns to his favorite side, the right, where he has more bearings and where he dominated the circuit Premier Padel alongsideAlé Galan for several years.

“Stupa”, the Chaco native ranked number 5 in the world, and Lebron, number 7, will therefore start the year 2025 as a pair world number 3. With great ambitions, including that of becoming global 1 number, this duo has well-established plans to mark the 2025 season of the circuit.

Could another pair become world number 1 in 2025?

Could another pair emerge in the race for the prestigious status of global 1 number ? We can think of the new pair Yanguas (8th) / Nieto (9th), in pairs Sanz (9th) / Momo Gonzalez (13th), or to Di Nenno (6th) / Garrido (12th)...

Who do you think could win the title of global 1 number in 2025 on the circuit Premier Padel ?
