One day before registration closes for the  Alpine Paris Major , tension rises around the  French wild cards The French Tennis Federation will soon award  4 invites , three invitations will allow direct entry into the main draw and the last one into the qualifications. Let's take a look at the  forces present and the most likely candidates. 

Blanqué/Bergeron in the cut

For now, the French pair  Blanque/Bergeron  occupy the  47th place on the registration list  and could therefore enter directly into the main table  without needing an invitation . As 48 pairs are admitted, it would only take two additional registrations to eject the French from this precious table.

This position illustrates the  quality of the “BB” season , both now at  doors of the world top 100 . A possible direct qualification would also suit all the French, since it would free up a wild card previously promised to  Bastien Blanque  et  Johan Bergeron .

A first in Major for Fonteny/Boronad

The young pair  Fonteny/Boronad  has definitely reached a milestone this season with a  full year on the international circuit  : a semi-final in  FIP Silver  and several other solid performances. Enough to hope for a  deserved invitation  for the main draw at Roland Garros? Last year, they received a wild card for the qualifications, but this time, they could well enter directly into the  main board .

"You're at home and you're being walked over": the Fonteny / Boronad trigger

It would then be a  career first in the Major category  for the two French hopefuls. A reward which seems all the more necessary as they are only at the  65th place on the registration list  :  Without a wild card, they wouldn't even be admitted to qualifying. .

100% French pairs and Guichard's risky bet

We know, the  100% French pairs  are often favored by the FFT when awarding wild cards. Seeing two French players tread the Roland-Garros slopes also reflects the  work to develop padel in France . Some have understood this well, like  Manuel Vives , registered this year with  Maxime Joris Last year, the Parisian did not receive an invitation, associated with the Spaniard  Eneko Arija,  his partner at the time.

  •  Jérôme Inzerillo / Maxime Moreau 
  •  Nathan Courrin / Thomas Seux 
  •  Thomas Basso / Jérémy Robert 

Conversely,  Dylan Guichard  took a risk by partnering with the Italian  Giulio Graziotti  (54th pair on the list). Currently positioned in qualifying, they hope for an invitation to join the main draw. But this  risky bet  could well turn against the Breton,  4th French player , which could see its place taken by 100% French pairs better valued by the FFT.

 Nicolas Rouanet  made the same bet by signing up with the Belgian  Isaac huysveld , the two players have been together for a few months and  play the card of stability and a long-term association  which could please the organization for an invitation to the Major qualifications.
