Philemon Raichman  et  Yanis Muesser  had chosen to join forces for the 2026 season with a clear ambition: to take a step forward in the  FIP circuit  while continuing to exist among the solid pairs of French padel. A coherent partnership on paper, between two players who have been constantly improving in recent seasons, but who still struggle to translate their level of play into real performances on the international stage.

This is partly due to rarely favorable draws. But despite still inconsistent results, the French pair continues to show promising signs thanks to a very aggressive playing style based on intensity and power.

À  Marnes-la-Coquette They could well be among the outsiders to watch very closely.

A real level of play… despite still insufficient results

The start of the season  Muesser / Raichman  It remains difficult to interpret. Raw results don't necessarily tell the whole story of their performance.

Since January 2026, the French have competed  ten tournaments  together on the international circuit. Their best performance on the FIP circuit so far remains two quarter-final appearances:

  • au  FIP Silver of Caen where they lost to the number 2 seed  Patiniotis / Torre  on the close score of  6 / 4 6 / 4
  • and recently at  Samui FIP Bronze , in Thailand, after a three-set battle against  Luque / Maria  :  6/3 3/6 6/2

Respectable performances, but probably below the expectations that both players had set for themselves at the start of the season.

It must be said that the draws have not often given them much respite.

The first few rounds are often tricky

Round after round, the French have regularly drawn big pairs right from their start in the draws.

Au  FIP Silver of Caltanissetta In Italy, they immediately come across  Javier Ruiz  et  Gonzalo Rubio The same observation applies to  Rivesaltes where they face the number 2 seed in the second round  Thomas Leygue / Alonso Rodriguez .

Despite the defeat, the match had been interesting. Raichman and Muesser had managed to take the first set in a tie-break before ultimately losing.  6/7 6/2 6/1 .

Another example to  Marrakech , with a difficult first round against  Antonio Varo  et  João Oliveira , fresh from their victory in Rivesaltes. Result: a defeat in two sets,  6 / 3 6 / 3 , but once again against a pair brimming with confidence.

Of course, the draws alone don't explain everything. The two Frenchmen also know they still need to be more consistent in key moments. But the potential is definitely there.

And we mustn't forget one important element:  Yanis Muesser is only playing his first full season on the FIP circuit .

Automatic processes that can make all the difference in Marnes

Approaching the  FIP Bronze from Marnes-la-Coquette Several factors are now working in favor of the French pair.

First, their status of  pair number 11  Their inclusion on the list theoretically offers them a more accessible first round. Furthermore, Raichman and Muesser are among the French partnerships that have played together the most since the start of the season.

These are automatic responses built up since the early months of 2025 that could prove advantageous against newly formed or less experienced pairs.

The challenge will then be to take the next step when they face a seeded team. And sooner or later, they will have to play "the big match" capable of truly launching their international season.

In Marnes, the context seems to be right for the French pair to finally make their mark.
