Jean-Michel Pequery, one of the best French players, took part in the padel bringing together the best French. The former professional tennis player and mental coach gives us a rant that makes a lot of react in theuniverse padel.

Agree / Disagree, it's up to you. Note the audacity, but also a certain courage to say things openly and publicly.

I was selected to participate in an internship bringing together the best players in France from Padel this week.

To be able to participate, a strict health protocol was required: COVID test (serological and Pcr) to be done beforehand and results to be sent before being able to present.

I have followed these measures to the letter. But against all odds, today I find myself in a difficult situation like many other players.

Indeed, when I arrived in Perpignan yesterday at the end of the afternoon, I attended the welcome meeting.

On leaving, I learn that a person who attended has only just provided their COVID result… and that it is positive!

Who authorized this person to attend this meeting knowing that they had not provided their results?

Who took the risk of exposing all listeners in this way?

The day after the incident, we still had no instructions from the FFT to give us the procedure to follow. The tournament which was to take place following this 2-day course has obviously been canceled.

Like many other players, and after having taken the advice of my attending physician, I therefore decided to go home.

Le padel is not my job and today I find myself undergoing a quarantine and alone assuming the economic consequences of this internship, not to mention the possible consequences on my health and that of my family.

When I see the last post from the FFT and these captains who congratulate themselves on the way they have handled this incident, recalling that they are doing everything possible to fight against the coronavirus, I can only be outraged!

It is precisely their lightness and their recklessness that are at the origin of this incident!

Who will compensate and support the players during the quarantine time?
