The Regional Team Championships Padel of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur League, it's back to 2020.

This is the second year that the PACA league has organized these team championships. It was the only league last year and many leagues are busy launching tag team championships as well. Consequently, the championships will exist only at the level of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur League (no French Championships by Teams of Padel for the moment).

With the good results of our young people at the championships in France, the commission also wants to launch a championship U16 Youth (born in 2004 and after).

Organization of the Championships

These will be homologated as P100 or P250 (depending on the sporting force). The main objective, in addition to awarding some points for the ranking Padel, is to cultivate a “club” spirit for the structures of Padel.

There will be no ranking limit for participation in Regional Team Championships (unlike P100 / P250 tournaments). The Regional Commission, as far as possible, will try to offer an attractive sporting competition taking into account the geography of the League.

The divisions will be formed according to the "weight" of the teams.

Creation and training of teams

Only clubs (or authorized level 2 structures) with courts of Padel may register one or more teams.

To participate in the team championships Padel :

- Players must hold a FFT "Club" season 2020 license, for the club they represent with the mention "competition allowed".

- In order to allow the formation of teams, players who are not members of the club are authorized, if they hold a FFT "Club" season 2020 license with the mention "authorized competition", to participate with another club of the same league as that in which they are fired.

For the constitution of teams, the number of players licensed "Out of the Club" is not limited. As a result, a team may be formed by 4 players each licensed in a different club, from the League Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, or even by any of the 4 players licensed in the structure that enrolls the team.

You have been warned!

- During the same sports season, the same player may represent a single club, for the team competitions of Padel, namely the club in which he plays as a team.

- If a club has at least one team, players will not be able to play on a team from another club.

- Participation in a competition Padel team for a given club, will not affect the sporting status of the player for the "Tennis" Team Championships. Consequently, the same player may represent a club "A" for the competitions of Padel and a "B" club for Tennis Competitions. The two clubs must be within the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur League, regardless of the Departmental Committee to which they belong.

Each team consists of minimum 4 players. Players can play multiple doubles. The day of the match at most 8 players will play.

As a result, regarding sports status, all players are considered "EQ" (Team). The only existing nationality status with "EU" or "Non EU" players. At the same meeting, the participation of the players "Non UE" is limited to two players.

In addition, the team championships of Padel are considered as “Senior” Championships and are therefore open to license holders in the 11 years and over category (from 2008).
