We take a long time to choose the racquet padel perfect. Once found, you need the budget that goes with it. But what a pleasure to play with your racquet padel that makes you dream. After a few weeks in the field, disaster, the pala breaks. A crack between 2 holes is the drama. Some brands, depending on the type of breakage, will change the pala, but if this is not the case, you can try to repair it.
Changing a pala when it is broken is a budget that not everyone can afford, but repairing it costs less, and even less if you do it.
We have unearthed a tutorial below that will allow you to follow step by step the repair of a fiberglass or carbon fiber pala. This tutorial is in Spanish, but if you are determined it won't be a problem.
The important steps to follow during a repair are:
- Sand the crack down to the fiber level, white is fiberglass and black is carbon fiber.
- Apply Epoxi resin
- Lay several layers of fiber
- Apply a new coat of Epoxi resin
- Press and let dry
- sand down
- For the picky, you can apply putty that bodybuilders use
- Always for the picky, airbrush painting
Inevitably, this repair will not have the same effect as a new racket, but may allow you to continue playing. The repair may not stick right away, but after several tries, you will gain experience and arrive at a very decent repair.
