Reunion Island Padel club hosted this weekend a P500 men. A club that moves and that tries despite its distance to stay connected to what is happening in metropolitan France; regular male and female tournaments and most recently the arrival of Cédric Carité for training.

Final apotheosis in Reunion!

Mickaël Grenier, precursor of padel at the Ekwalis club, organized the visit of Cédric Carité to lead an elite training and training session.

From the launch of the padel in Reunion, it was logical to rely on the skills of a specialist to
support the launch of padel. Indeed, in 15 years, Cédric Carité has accumulated a great experience to become one of the references of padel French.

After a year of activity in Reunion and a participation of the Reunionese pairs in the championship of France, the club wanted to cross a new sporting and educational stage.

The week was spent with 6 hours of training and specific training per day that led players to surpass themselves and pass technical, tactical and psychological headings.

To complete this great week, the players took advantage of the arrival of Cédric to participate in the P500 and be coached in "live". A chance also for the players who found themselves in the field.

This year, it was Romain Gutstein who played the tournament with Cédric Carité.

All the best Reunionese were present with quarters and semi-finals of very good level, worthy of the best P500 of metropolis.

In the final, we find the favorite pair against the pair Grenier / Teyssedre, and what a final.

A first set won 6 / 3 by Carité / Gutstein. But in the second set, the pair Grenier / Teyssedre did not let it go so easily and won 6 / 4. Big suspense in the third set, with a feat of the Reunion Grenier / Teyssedre pair who manages to lead 5 / 3 and get 5 match balls. Gutstein / Carity save these 5 match balls, and win 7 / 5.

Final Score: 6 / 3-4 / 6-7 / 5

Despite the defeat of the Reunionese pair, this tournament remains a positive experience.
