Invited to a casual dinner hosted by theUTS Tour next to David Goffin et Adrian Mannarino, Richard Gasquet dropped a little sentence that must have made padel fans tick… and delighted fairway lovers.
As the three players quietly discussed their post-tennis future, Gasquet confided:
"I'm going to spend the summer, I'm going to try to do things I haven't done: football, golf... I like padel, but less than golf."
There it is, it's said. Between the 20x10 glass and the well-mown greens, the Biterrois has decided. Exit the viboras and others bajadas, it's now swing that makes Richie vibrate.
But no need to panic, racket fans: the former French number 1 hasn't completely hung up his boots. He also humorously announced that he wants to start a new career. Challenger with “Mana” (Mannarino). The padel will therefore have to wait (and bow to a well-felt putt).

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
