Le Riyadh Season P1 delivered its first insights for the 2026 season. For the men, Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia confirm their dominance with another title. In the women's category, the new pair Andrea Ustero / Ari Sánchez secured a landmark victory against the world's number ones, at the end of a stunning final.
Coello / Tapia: a controlled final and undeniable statistics
The men's final concluded in 1:05 on the score of 6 / 4 6 / 2 face Fede Chingotto / Alejandro Galán . A hard-fought first set, before a second set clearly controlled by the FIP ranking leaders.
Statistical analysis confirms this visual impression. Coello/Tapia win 56% of the total points , compared to 44% for their opponents. The gap is even more pronounced when it comes to serving efficiency: 75% of the points earned on their service games , compared to 60% for Chingotto / Galán.
The key also lay in the return. The winners won 42% of points scored on the opponent's first serve and 25% on the second, constantly applying pressure. Opposite them, Chingotto/Galán did not convert no break point , a key indicator at this level.
With this new title, Coello and Tapia continue their consistency on the circuit Premier Padel adding another title to an already impressive list of achievements. Their ability to raise their game in crucial moments remains their hallmark.
Ustero / Sánchez: a spectacular comeback against the number 1
The women's final offered a completely different scenario. They were beaten in the first set. 3/6 , Andrea Ustero / Ari Sánchez have completely reversed the dynamic to prevail 3/6 6/1 6/4 face Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea .
Statistics perfectly illustrate this shift. Despite only 45% of the total points earned Ustero/Sánchez were able to capitalize on key moments. They notably displayed 27% of break points converted , compared to 17% for their opponents.
The difference is even more striking in return. The new champions win 78% of points scored on the opponent's second serve , compared to 47% for Triay / Brea. A decisive dominance in long exchanges and pressure phases.
Triay/Brea nevertheless won 55% of the total points and proved more solid in serving with 69% of points won on the first serve But their difficulty in closing out important games and managing break points weighed heavily in the outcome of the match.
For Andrea Ustero , a young talent born in 2007, this success confirms a potential already seen on the circuit. Ari Sánchez This first title with her new partner validates a strong strategic choice for 2026.
A revealing season launch
Ce Riyadh Season P1 It marks a mixed start to the season. In the men's draw, the hierarchy remains firmly established around Coello and Tapia. In the women's draw, the competition looks more open, with a new pair capable of beating the world's best in their very first tournament.
