Thomas Leygue et Alvaro Montiel bow out in the last round of qualifying for the Riyadh P1 facing the 2th seed, Anton Sans et Marc Quilez. After a match lasting almost 1 hour 40 minutes, they lost by a score of 7/6(3), 6/4. A balanced match but the Spanish knew how to make the difference in the good moments.
A beautiful journey despite everything
Despite this defeat, we must salute the performance of Leygue and Montiel who, not being seeded, had to play an extra match and eliminated strong pairs to reach this stage such as Mario Ortega / Fran Ramirez (TS6) and Jose David Sanchez / Jorge Ruiz. They thus scored valuable points for the rest of the season, although the reduction of places in the final tables of Premier Padel complicates the ambitions of many players.
Qualified for the final table
The teams that join the final table after qualifying are as follows:
- Ignatius Piotto et Mario del Castillo, who eliminated the number 1 seed, William Collado et Javier Martinez.
- Toni Bueno et rafael mendez.
- The Deus brothers.
- Anton Sans et Marc Quilez, winners of Leygue and Montiel, complete the list of qualifiers.
Here is the final table:

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
