If you are a tennis fan, you most likely know Roberta Vinci. The former world number seven has indeed a very good record, with in particular 35 tournaments won on the WTA circuit. If she obviously shone in singles, the transalpine excelled in doubles, with a first place in 2012 and 5 tournaments of the grand chelem won.

It is therefore natural that this champion turned to the padel, a sport where she intends to make people talk about her. Now 38 years old, Vinci is going to take the World Padel Tour, or her will share the track with Giulia Sussarello, currently 61st and second Italian in the WPT standings. The pair that should start in preprevias has everything to be formidable.

Indeed, if Vinci has so far only participated in three FIP tournaments (for a modest 200th place in the standings), this player seems well armed to quickly climb the ranking. This pair will therefore be one of those to follow during the qualifying phases of the WPT tournaments!
