The world's number 5 pair, Javi Garrido et Martín Di Nenno, played a practice match against the world number 2, Ale Galán et Federico Chingotto, Thursday March 6, 2025 at M3 Leganés in Madrid.
Federico Chingotto shared images of the meeting on his social networks, where the presence of Rodrigo Ovide, padel coach, giving instructions and exchanging on the bench with the pair Garrido / Di Nenno when changing sides.
Rodrigo Ovide is an Argentine professional padel coach and one of the most renowned coaches on the circuit. This season, he is leading the world number 2 women's pair, Brea / Triay, alongside Jorge Martínez, and has already collaborated with many world-class players, such as the pair Juan Lebrón / Paquito Navarro, the pair Tello / Ruiz and Javi Garrido. He also trained the former number 1s of the women's circuit, Triay et Salazar, with which he won 23 titles.
Javi Garrido, who announced this week the end of his collaboration with his coach Juani Mieres, who supervised the world number 5 pair during the Riyadh P1, might have found his replacement in the person of Rodrigo Ovide.
A big sports enthusiast and former tennis player, I discovered padel a few years ago without really focusing on it. Then I became addicted to this sport by practicing it and watching the premier padel matches. Looking forward to sharing the 2025 news with you!
