Barely recovered from his home tournament at FIP Silver Bandol, Dylan Guichard is already back on the field, this time at Rome, for the qualifications of the Premier Padel Italy Major. Always associated with Portuguese Antonio Luque, the Frenchman reacted well after his defeat in the last sixteen in Bandol.
Guichard and Luque, a victory that feels good
Opposed to the solid Spanish pair Pedro Melendez Amaya / Victor Mena, Guichard and Luque initially suffered in the first set (3/6), before remobilizing. Tenacious, they snatched the second set in the tie-break, before definitively taking the upper hand in the last act (final victory 3/6 7/6 6/3).
A important victory against a well-established and better-ranked pair, which could revive the dynamics of the Franco-Portuguese duo after a lackluster Bandol.
Tomorrow they will face the 6th seed in the qualifiers, Fran Ramirez Navas / Adam Axelsson, to try to secure a decisive match in view of the main board.
The “BB” are here
Another French pair involved in these qualifications: the "BB", Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron, back together on the circuit. For their first match, the two French players delivered a solid match against Adrian Marques / Miguel Gonzalez, with a victory in two sets: 6 / 2 7 / 5.
Next step for them: a shock facing the seeded 7, Manuel Castaño / Nicolas Suescun.
The times for tomorrow's matches are not yet known.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
