The elite of the French padel can be helped financially by the French Tennis Federation. The rules for allocating financial assistance to the best players will be redesigned in 2020 for 2021.

Thierry Pham, the head of high padel level, is currently working on the rules for allocating financial allocations. He wanted the system to be much more transparent and known to everyone.

For the moment, the FFT already financially supports 5 players and 6 players. These aids are based on 2 criteria:

  • A minimum FIP-WPT classification
  • a sports project resolutely geared towards progression in the international ranking.

But in 2021, the rules should therefore evolve. Thierry Pham explains to us:

I am already working on the 2021 aid grid. Indeed, I would like to be able to present to our athletes the rules for the allocation of 2021 aid from the start of the 2020 season. Thus, everyone will know in complete transparency which objective to achieve in order to benefit from federal aid. Naturally, I rely on the captains of the senior French teams to determine the 2021 rules.
