La first edition of Cancun Premier Padel P2 sacred Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebrón, authors of a perfect week at Rafa Nadal Tennis Center de Costa Women despite the lack of competition. In front of a excited public, the Spanish-Argentine duo signed a unquestionable success in the final against Leonel 'Tolito' Aguirre and Gonzalo Alfonso (6/2 6/3), without conceding a single set throughout the tournament.

Unwavering domination throughout the week

Partners since the beginning of the year 2025, Stupa and Lebron were arguing in Cancun their second final together, after losing the Riyadh P1 at the start of the season. This time, they didn't let no chance for their opponents, conceding only 15 games in five matches, a truly impressive run? It's hard to say, since we remember that the best players in the world were not present at this tournament except Stupa / Lebron.

In the final, they immediately imposed a hellish pace, taking quickly took the lead (5/0 in 15 minutes) against the Argentines. Although Tolito and Gonza tried to resist at the end of the first set, they were never really able to worry the Spanish-Argentine pair. More incisive and constant, Lebron and Stupaczuk concluded the meeting with authority, sealing their first title together on the circuit Premier Padel.

With this victory, Lebrón wins his 8th title on the circuit, which makes him the fourth most successful player of Premier Padel, behind Coello, Tapia and Galán. In 2024, he had competed three finals and won two titles (Riyadh P1 and Finland P2). His experience was decisive in Cancun, and he was appointed MVP of the final.

For its part, Stupa, during the previous season, had played four finals, but had only won one victory, during the NewGiza P2.

Beating Aguirre and Alfonso, Stupa and Lebron add a new country to their list of achievements, having never won before in Mexico. Last year, Lebrón had failed in Acapulco P1 final with Gallant face Coello-Tapia, While Stupa had bowed in Mexico Major final with Yanguas, also against Coello-Tapia.

A first missed coronation for Aguirre and Alfonso

Unfortunate finalists, Aguirre and Alfonso hoped to land a first title on the circuit Premier Padel, after failing in the final of the Gijon P2 2025 face Head / Garcia. Despite a beautiful Mexican countryside, punctuated by convincing victories, they failed to gain the upper hand over Lebron and Stupaczuk, more experienced at this level.

However, with two FIP trophies recently won (FIP Gold Paredes and FIP Platinum Puebla), they confirm their potential and could soon be invited among regular players on the main draw of the circuit. Unless... the pressure from players on the circuit means that the points obtained in Gijon P2 and especially in Cancun P2 are not counted.

With their success in Cancun, Lebron and Stupaczuk become in passing the seventh different pair to win a category tournament P2 on the circuit Premier Padel.
