The dynamic launched at Miami continues for Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto, who have displayed a very good level of play since the start of the Santiago Premier Padel P1. Thanks to total mastery in the face of Momo González et Jon sanz, the winners of the Miami P1 go to the semi-finals where they will face mike yanguas et Coki Nieto.

Chingalan in steamroller mode

After skipping Gijón and Cancún, Galan and Chingotto seem to have taken advantage of this break to get back together and raise their game. Having won titles in Miami, they are proving just as formidable on the Chilean slopes.

In the quarter-finals, they left no chance to Sanz / González. Clear victory: 6 / 3 6 / 2 in one hour of play. The Spanish-Argentine duo was sharper, stronger, and much cleaner in rally management. Fewer unforced errors, lightning-fast transitions, and constant pressure at the net… The “Chingalaneta” is rolling with power.

Yanguas and Nieto, the confident duo

On the other side of the picture, Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas, seeded 4, also continue their very good run. After beating Garrido / Di Nenno in eighth, Victor Ruiz and Xisco Gil arrived confident for the quarterfinals. But the Spanish completely suffocated, especially in a second set quickly (6/0).

Final score: 6 / 4 6 / 0 in only 56 minutes, the fastest match of the day. Solid on their commitment, aggressive on the volley, Yanguas and Nieto did not give their opponents a chance to breathe.

An explosive semi-final… like in Miami

Galán / Chingotto vs Nieto / Yanguas, it's a poster that is starting to become a classic of this start of the season. The two pairs had already faced each other last week in the semi-finals of the Miami P1, in a match epic of almost three hours won by Galán and Chingotto with a score of 6/2 4/6 7/6(5)On a slow track that favored defensive play, Yanguas and Nieto then pushed their opponents to their limits, showing the full extent of their talent and endurance.

This time again, the duel promises to be intense between the mental and offensive solidity of Chingalán and the tireless fighting spirit of Nieto / Yanguas. Pair advantage #2 on paper, strong from her title in Miami and great confidence, but beware of revenge : Coki and Mike have the weapons to create a surprise.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
