This is news that his fans were dreading:  Sanyo Gutiérrez  announced this Tuesday its  package for the Premier Padel P1 of Tarragona , after medical examinations revealed a  rupture of the epicondyle tendon of the right elbow .

Already physically weakened during his last appearances on the circuit, the Argentinian made his absence official via a message published on his social networks:

“As you know, I've been suffering from elbow pain for a while. Tests have confirmed a ruptured tendon in the epicondyle. I'm therefore forced to withdraw from the Tarragona tournament. My recovery is already underway. See you in Madrid!”

A season of ups and downs

For Sanyo, this injury is part of a  difficult 2025 season , marked by a certain instability and results far from its usual standards. This new setback could call into question the rest of its summer season, while the rhythm of the circuit Premier Padel does not weaken.

Note that  Javi Garrido , also injured, also had to  give up P1 in Tarragona .

Gutiérrez's package allows the  first pair from the qualifications ,  Javier Valdez and Agustín Gutiérrez , to integrate the  main board  in Tarragona. A great opportunity for these two players, looking for visibility on the circuit.
