The current dynamics of the circuit Premier Padel seems increasingly clear:  Alejandro Galán  et  Fede Chingotto  are probably going through their best period since the beginning of their association.

Winners of  Buenos Aires P1  after a demonstration in front of  Tapia / Coello  in the final ( 6 / 2 6 / 1 ), the players of  Jorge Martínez  have sent a huge message to the circuit. And for many, the true current boss of world padel is now…  Ale Galán .

An impression reinforced by the comments of  Sanyo Gutiérrez who became completely enthralled by the Madrid player on the show Twenty Ten after the Argentinian tournament.

“Galán doesn’t even need tactics”

For Sanyo, Galán now possesses something that no one else on the circuit has.

"With his size, his speed of play, and his shots, Ale doesn't even need that much tactics. He just needs to defend a little better and choose his shots from the baseline more carefully; he doesn't need anything else."

The Argentinian player explains that where some have to compensate with strategy or variation, Galán can simply impose his power and natural aggression.

Sanyo even used his own example to illustrate his point:

"I'm 1.70m tall, I'm not left-handed, and I don't have that kind of power. When you have fewer physical resources, you need a lot more tactics to balance the exchanges."

Then came the key sentence of the interview:

"Today, Galán is the most decisive player on the planet. It's up to the others to find tactical solutions to beat him."

A huge compliment coming from a former world number 1 renowned for his vision of the game.

  • total domination during the final in Buenos Aires
  • and above all a visual impression of constant control

For Sanyo, what makes Galán virtually unplayable today is above all his ability to perform in all conditions.

"He plays very well on both fast and slow courts. He doesn't even just need the smash. He has the volley, the vibora, the bandeja, the rulo… he can do everything."

And that's probably what's most impressive right now: Galán seems to have added control to his physical dominance.

More patient, more tactically accurate, still as explosive, the Madrid player now appears as the player who makes the most difference on a track.
