According to newspaper information  Brand ,  Marta Ortega  et  Sofia Araújo , current number 4 pair in the FIP ranking, have reportedly decided to end their collaboration after the  Brussels P2 , which ends this Sunday in Belgium.
Nowadays,  No official announcement has yet been made by the players themselves. .

Declining results which would have precipitated the decision

After a promising start to the season with  three semi-finals  (Riyadh, Gijon, Miami) and  a final  In Cancun, the latest performances did not meet expectations.
The duo experienced a significant slowdown with early eliminations:  eighth in Santiago ,  quarters in Doha then  round of 16 in Brussels .
These disappointing results have apparently convinced the two players to separate in order to seek new momentum on their own.

Sofia Araújo already has a new project with Andrea Ustero

Always according  Brand ,  Sofia Araújo  should quickly bounce back with  Andrea Ustero , a young 18-year-old talent considered one of the greatest hopes of women's padel.
This new pair could debut as early as  P2 of Asuncion  (Paraguay), scheduled from  18 to 25 may .

Concerning  Marta Ortega , nothing has been decided yet.
Two main options are discussed:  Alejandra Alonso , available after the separation with Ustero, or possibly  Tamara Icardo , even if the latter is currently engaged alongside  Claudia jensen .
