The Minister of National Education and Youth, Jean-Michel BLANQUER, the Minister of Sports, Roxana MARACINEANU, the director of the National School Sports Union, Nathalie COSTANTINI, the President of the Union Sportive de l'Enseignement of the Premier Degré, Véronique MOREIRA and the President of the French Tennis Federation, Bernard GIUDICELLI, signed the agreement for the launch of the operation "From the court to the courts".

The goal of "From Courts to Shorts" is to create a school playground game that children can easily appropriate with appropriate equipment, to promote the practice of tennis independently and safely. The schoolyard becomes a place of action and sports games for students who can reinvest what they have worked with the full class in motor skills or physical education and sports (EPS). This operation also aims to combat the sedentary lifestyle of children.

The mobilization of all the signatories must allow the deployment of this operation in the voluntary schools of the territory and the creation of bridges between the school world and the sports world, the school and the clubs of the French Tennis Federation.

Finally, the FFT brings all its expertise on tennis pedagogy to the CANOPÉ network, so that it ensures the realization of a Web documentary, the promotion and the deployment of this operation.

The CANOPÉ network, in collaboration with the FFT, will also provide schools with a teaching bag that allows either a simple practice during recess or a pedagogical use during PSE courses.

The experiments, put in place at the initiative of the FFT for over a year, have been a real success. In the Val d'Oise, for example, more than 180 classes whose teachers had volunteered, have already participated in this operation.

Support for kindergarten teachers is carried out directly in the field by the FFT teams (regional technical advisors and committee and league development advisers).
