Our incredible French on the professional circuit of padel, the Barcelona-born Alix Collombon confided in our show Le Face-à-Face. She returned to her mishap with her former partner Sarah Pujals.

A perfect start

I am going to tell you something that I have rarely expressed. When I was with Sara Pujals, my adventure on the World Padel Tour couldn't have started off better.

Sara trusted me when I landed in Spain. She took a risk with me and we had an incredible season together.

I said to Padel Magazine that we were going to continue with Sara on the World Padel Tour one more season at least. Our relationship was very good and no reason seemed to be able to separate us.

A few days later, I take a slap!

I learn that Sarah changes to a slightly better ranked partner than me. I did not expect that.

I find myself without a partner 2 months after the resumption of the stages of the WPT.

With Sara, we got along very well on and off the field. Initially, there was some misunderstanding after the separation, but I understood today how it worked.

It's true that it can be brutal, especially when you don't expect it.

Le padel : a collective and individual sport

Le padel is a team sport. And at the same time, there is no more individual as a sport. It is very paradoxical. And we had to recover quickly from his emotions because my second season was going to resume and all the pairs were already formed.

Stress kick. I owe a lot to Juan Aldray, my coach. He knew how to calm me down and above all he found me Nicole Traviesa, my current partner. We are continuing the adventure together next year. We had a very good year and I confirmed in the top 30 worldwide, which is a very good thing after last year's great season.

It was Juan Alday who told me that this association is actually a good thing for me. He turned the negative into positive. He immediately saw that Nicole and I could do good things.

The difference is that it is rather me who guides her on the ground, who is supposed to wear it when with Sara it was the opposite. The roles have been reversed.
