The seed 3, composed of  Martin Abud and Marcos Gonzalez Blanco , wins the  FIP Silver Narbonne  by dominating the number 6 seed in the final,  Maximo Jesus Maldonado and Franco Dal Bianco , on the score of  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

The Spaniards and the Paraguayan, favorites on paper, lived up to their status in a final that was sometimes uneven, alternating between brilliant sequences and more messy moments. But in the crucial moments, they were simply more clinical.

A first set quickly mastered

From the very first games, Abud and Gonzalez took control of the match. Led by a  Martin Abud was very inspired offensively They quickly realize the break.

The strategy is clear, and reminiscent of their semi-final: to target more  Maximo Maldonado  and limit the influence of  Franco Da Bianco A worthwhile choice. Less impactful than in the semi-final against Tison and Insa,  Maldonado  is put under more pressure and commits several direct fouls.

Despite some good spells from the 6th seed, Abud and Gonzalez maintain their lead and close out the first set  6/4 .

Stronger in the money time

The second set is more balanced. Dal Bianco raises his level of play and the match becomes closer.

But at  3/3 The scenario of the first act repeats itself. Abud and Gonzalez accelerate at the best moment and break away once again. Behind them, they remain composed and close out the match with another  6/4 .

In crucial moments, the third seed was simply superior. This is reflected in the statistics. Both teams finished with the same number of unforced errors ( 23 each ), but Abud and Gonzalez were much more offensive with  35 winning points against 28 .

They also acquired  12 break points including  5 converted , while Maldonado and Dal Bianco only obtained  4 break opportunities  throughout the entire match.

A very big tournament for the new champions

Although Dal Bianco delivered an interesting second set, he couldn't compensate for a  Maldonado less brilliant than in the semi-final In key moments, particularly in the second set, the Argentinian was under more pressure from his opponent.

Opposite,  Martin Abud delivered another top-level performance. finishing the final with  19 winning points  and consistently causing damage during attacking phases.

New champions of  FIP Silver Narbonne Abud and Gonzalez succeed  Juanlu Esbri and José Antonio Diestro , winners of the previous edition.

Their run is all the more remarkable given that they had to play a tremendous match in the semi-final to eliminate the number 2 seed.  Francisco Cabeza and Mariano Gonzalez , at the end of a three-set battle.

In the final, they then delivered a perfectly controlled match against a 6th seed who had benefited from the fall of the favorites,  Maxi Sanchez and Juan Ignacio Rubini eliminated in the quarter-finals by  Benjamin Tison and Ferran Insa .

Thanks to this success,  Martin Abud wins his first title of the season while the two players leave Narbonne with  80 valuable FIP points  and a benchmark trophy on the FIP circuit.
