All beautiful things come to an end.

Indeed, after more than five years of good and loyal service, Abelardo Daniel Alzueta Jaro, better known as Lalo Alzueta, famous commentator on World Padel Tour, puts away his microphone and says goodbye to the professional padel circuit.

It is via his Instagram account and a video posted by the WPT that the 41-year-old Spaniard broke the news to his fans.

Instagram post Lalo Azuleta

The journalist who was known for his love for basketball, which he commented on for more than 10 years before landing in the world of padel, has decided to take a new path.

Although he remains very evasive about his next professional projects, he nevertheless displays a deep sense of nostalgia as he remembers all the good times spent alongside his colleagues and friends.

The voice of padel

Recognized in the padel world, he has managed to become a reference and above all THE voice of the matches.

Associated for some time with Sebastian nerone, he ignited the broadcasts with his flights and thrilled viewers with his comments and his passion.

Sometimes criticized for “commenting on padel like football”, the man who commentated on more than 700 matches for more than 2 hours of broadcasting, still had a large “fanbase”.

A certain recognition

In fact, many players rushed to express their thanks and friendship to the Madrid native. We were able to see beautiful texts from his friends and colleagues such as Nacho Palencia, the journalist who covers the padel courts but also from his partner Sebastian Nerone with whom he was able to forge very strong bonds of friendship.

Marta Marrero, Alix Colombon, Paquito Navarro, Marta Ortega, Alejandra Salazar, Martin Di Nenno, Miguel Yanguas, the Alayeto sisters and many others wanted to thank and salute the work done by the commentator.

They are not the only ones, because the leaders of the circuit also wanted to thank the journalist for while dedicating nice words to him on their Web site.
