The French women's delegation will be well represented in the Valladolid main draw Premier Padel P2, with Léa Godallier et Alix Collombon engaged this Tuesday morning. Two very different first rounds in perspective, but the same objective: reaching the round of 16.
Godallier and Luján, a deserved qualification
Already recently titled at FIP Silver of Bandol, Léa Godallier continues its momentum alongside Laura LujanThe Franco-Spanish duo began the qualifications with a close match against Casali / Gallardo won in three sets (5/7 7/5 6/1). Then a victory quieter in the previa final against Lopez / Lopez, seeded 5, mastered in only 56 minutes on the score of 6 / 1 6 / 3, which allows them to qualify for the main draw.
Their beautiful dynamic will be put to the test at first round, with a big piece: Victoria Iglesias et Marina Guinart, recent semi-finalists of the Italy Major. Two players in great shape who will be needed shake up from the first exchanges to hope to create a surprise. The match is scheduled at 10:30 p.m. on court 3.
Collombon and Martinez face dangerous qualifiers
For its part, Alix Collombon will start directly in the main draw with her usual Spanish partner Araceli MartínezThey will face a pair from the qualifiers, Sara Foguer et Lucia Fernandez, who defeated the number 4 seed in the qualifiers, Fassio / Gomez.
On paper, the Lyonnaise and her partner seem to have the weapons to pass, but watch out for the trap : Foguer and Fernandez arrive full of confidence and energy. The match is scheduled at 9h on the short 3. In case of victory, a huge challenge awaits them in the last sixteen: a potential clash against the world number 1, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
