The one who is currently ranked 27th in the ranking of the World Padel Tour renewed its contract with the Spanish brand, for three more seasons, that is to say until 2025.
Jesus Moya, who signed his extension on Tuesday, is happy and grateful to StarVie : “I am very proud to continue to be part of this great brand and this great family. They gave me all their confidence despite the unfavorable circumstances and since the beginning of my professional career they have bet on me. I hope to continue to live up to their expectations and continue my progress with them.”
“This is extraordinary news for the brand, as it means consolidating the present and the future of our team of players. He has a lot of room for improvement, he is young and he is a very talented player who will go as far as he wants., declares Jorge Gómez de la Vega, general manager of the Spanish brand.
A promising future
The player from Melilla, who is only 21, proves the brand's desire to support and promote promising young players on the professional circuit. As a junior player he won seven Spanish championships, five national masters championships, four world championships (open and team) with the Spanish national team. During his professional career, Jesús reached two WPT quarter-finals, at the Valencia Open and the Barcelona Masters.
Last season, he managed to climb 70 places in the ranking of the World Padel Tour and finished the year in 27th position, having started playing the prequalifiers. It was in August, during the Malaga Open, that he obtained the direct passage to the main draw.
For this year, the objective of this young player is to work every day to reach his best version at the personal level and to create a competitive pair capable of standing up to the best players in the world. “This year we are going to give it our all and we can't wait to train hard to get there”, concludes Jesús Moya.
Passionate about football, I discovered the padel in 2019. Since then, it's been crazy love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
