It's been official for a few days, padel French has just reached the 73 699 classified. The popularity of this sport varies by region, and this trend is also observed at club level. Decryption.

The male public today represents a very large part of the competitors in France with 63 875 individuals, or 87% of the total. Women, with a little less 10 000 practitioners (13%), seem a little more behind. However, the number of people classified (all sexes combined) is up significantly compared to last year.


In May 2024, two clubs already stood out from the pack: Home Padel, which hosts the AS Padel Aficionados, and Padel Horizon, via Sport Horizon. The first cities were then slightly ahead of their rivals, with 790 players against 784. They surpassed the TC Toulonnais (639), the 4PADEL from Toulouse-Colomiers (552) and the duo Big padel / Toulouse Padel Club (524)


A month later, things haven't changed: Padel Horizon et Home Padel always pulling each other up. The Val-de-Marnais are this time at the top of the ranking ahead of the Dionysiens, with 820 players against 798. The TC Toulonnais (666), the 4PADEL from Toulouse-Colomiers (579) and Toulouse Padel Club (550) retain their place. Big padel (521) lost some members, while the 4PADEL from Bordeaux replaced theMind Padel Club. Note that in this top 9, six clubs appear among the four southernmost regions of the country…
