Stephane Penso Dunlop PFW Extreme

Dunlop, a historic brand

Dunlop, it's over 100 years of love for the game, one of the historic brands of tennis, squash and padel. This company specializing in rubber, pneumatics and absorption in all its forms of all kinds of impacts, could not go through the design of shoes incorporating all the patents filed for many years.

Visually very successful, bi-color blue and white, it sports soft and pastel tones mat that will match almost all your sports outfits.

Maximum technology

Technologies used by Dunlop for the design of this product are as follows:

  • CUSHTEC for shock absorption and increased comfort
  • LOCKTEC for high stability and strength
  • DRAGTEC for durability when sliding on the court
  • SHIELDTEC for optimal flexibility and comfort

The rubber exomotion of the sole provides non-slip qualities and exceptional strength, while the technology Cushtec allows shock absorption in the greatest comfort. These Dunlop PFW Extreme offer excellent dynamism and good performance. The maintenance is fantastic and the materials used seem to be of excellent quality.

We will see the good resistance over time, but I don't worry about it Dunlop which is a brand that has proven the quality of its achievements for a century. Thanks to effective foot support, the external support is reinforced during lateral movements on the track. With a premium outsole and reinforcements in the forefoot and midfoot, these shoes maximize grip and durability against wear and tear.

As for the cushioning, I was pleasantly surprised by the absence of bad waves which generally rise, after a few long minutes of play, in the lower part of our skeleton (ankles, kneecaps and sacrum). The technologies displayed by Dunlop also increase the clamping capacity at the instep to ensure maximum stability and support.

Extremely ventilated, they allowed my feet to stay cool and dry even after 3 hours of game! The only downside observed during this test is the weight of these shoes. Weighed at 480 grams each, that's about 140 grams more than my Babolat reference (336gr).

Conclusion

Heavy but terribly comfortable, with foolproof stability and above all with remarkable grip, this Dunlop PFW Extreme in elegant colors will delight most players who decide to invest in a quality product at lower cost.

This is the point I haven't talked about yet. For around 65 €, you will benefit from a technical shoe manufactured by a century-old company, the result of advanced research and a certain durability. Without a doubt one of the bestsellers of 2021!
