Padel Magazine - The second infinity tour padel tournament has just concluded this weekend with a great atmosphere and a very warm welcome.
32 pairs came to play on three different categories: Male initiation-intermediate, mixed initiation-intermediate and advanced male. With four games guaranteed on each category and the possibility of registering to two categories to choose from, success was guaranteed regardless of the final result.
It is a fact that the padel continues to develop in France and the level of play was no exception. Throughout the weekend, those present were able to watch some really interesting matches and technical exchanges and gestures that were thought to be reserved only for the Spanish. A special mention in the advanced final with two good pairs and the title won by former French 1 number Andre Gaubert and Francois San Miguel of Carcassonne against Alex Pageaux and Loïc Ducourau of Bordeaux.
A match with a lot of emotion and turnaround from the first set where the Bordeaux led to the 5-3 score but in the end the Carcassonnais will eventually win 7-5. In the second set situation change and break for the locals who end up winning without making concessions. In a super tie-break with plenty of tension, the experience will play a fundamental role. Carcassonnais end up imposing themselves by a tight final score: 7-5 2-6 10-8.
In the other equally interesting and captivating finals, Bertrand and Luis de Toulouse won 6-2 7-5 against Alexandre and Jérôme Leboeuf from Poitiers in the Intermediate category. The Leboeuf brothers, however, reign terror on the grounds of Sporting. They fell on stronger ones.
The match not to be missed was certainly that of Laurent Barthe and Ricardo de Alza against Kévin and Paul in the Initiation category. Laurent Barthe nicknamed "el mago" succeeds some exploits with costs and gestures terribly effective if not very academic and thus impose on Super Tie-Break (5-7 6-4 12 / 10).
Arnaud and Peggy of Bordeaux also win the Super tie-break (6-3 2-6 10 / 5) against Sandrine and Joris de Toulouse.
In the end everyone is very satisfied and eager to participate in the next stage of the padel infinity tour in Saint Cyprien the 4-5 April. If you want to come to play, discover the padel and spend a nice weekend, sign up on the page http://padelinfinity.com/
