Padel Magazine - The second tournament of padel infinity tour has just concluded this weekend with a great atmosphere and a very warm welcome.

32 pairs came to play in three different categories: Male initiation-intermediate, mixed initiation-intermediate and advanced male. With four guaranteed matches in each category and the possibility of entering two categories to choose from, success was guaranteed regardless of the final result.

It is an observation that the padel continues to develop in France and the level of play was no exception. Throughout the weekend, those present were able to watch some really interesting matches and exchanges and technical gestures that we thought were reserved only for the Spaniards. A special mention to the advanced final with two good pairs and the title won by the former French number 1 Andre Gaubert and François San Miguel de Carcassonne against Alex Pageaux and Loïc Ducourau from Bordeaux.

A match full of emotion and turnaround from the first set where the Bordelais led by a score of 5-3 but in the end the Carcassonnais ended up winning 7-5. In the second set, change of situation and entry break for the locals who end up winning it without making any concessions. In a super tension-packed tie-break, experience will play a fundamental role. The Carcassonnais ended up winning with a tight final score: 7-5 2-6 10-8.

In the other finals which were as interesting as they were captivating, Bertrand and Luis from Toulouse won 6-2 7-5 against Alexandre and Jérôme Leboeuf from Poitiers in the Intermediate category. The Leboeuf brothers, however, are reigning terror on the grounds of Sporting. They fell on stronger.

The match not to be missed was certainly that of Laurent Barthe and Ricardo de Alza against Kévin and Paul in the Initiation category. Laurent Barthe nicknamed “el mago” succeeds in a few exploits with terribly effective costps and gestures if they are not very academic and therefore prevail in the Super Tie-Break (5-7 6-4 12/10).

Finally Arnaud and Peggy from Bordeaux also won in the Super tie-break (6-3 2-6 10/5) against Sandrine and Joris from Toulouse.

In the end everyone is very satisfied and eager to participate in the next stage of the padel infinity tour in Saint Cyprien on April 4-5. If you want to come and play, discover the padel and have a nice weekend, register on the page http://padelinfinity.com/
