After their entry into the P500 organized on the sidelines of the P250 final of the Head Padel Open, Sylvain Wiltord and Jean-Thomas Peyrou tell us about their meeting and their vision of padel.
“If I don’t play every 3 or 4 days, I’m not well”
Sylvain Wiltord : “I have been playing padel for a year now, I watched it from afar. Since I started playing, if I don't have a little game every 3/4 days, I don't feel good. I love it! When I received the invitation from Head I immediately said yes”
Jean-Thomas Peyrou : “Sylvain, I met him at the Big Padel Mérignac, we had a mutual acquaintance so we were able to play together a little bit. Head kindly asked me to play with him so I said yes straight away
Sylvain Wiltord : “It’s true that we met in Bordeaux so I didn’t hesitate, I said yes straight away
Jean-Thomas Peyrou : “It’s great for the development of the practice to call on celebrities like Sylvain. To develop padel, it’s great.
Sylvain Wiltord : “Plus, I won my first match, so I'm happy!
Sylvain has a lot of room for improvement
Jean-Thomas Peyrou : “He has a lot of room for improvement, he has great skills like all footballers, he defends a lot, he moves well. Small improvements to be made on the volleys and smash side, but he can improve
Sylvain Wiltord : “I'm a bit like the Roger Federer of padel
We'll try to go as far as possible, but in any case it's just fun! It's the padel spirit, so it's true that since I've been playing and since I'm a bit crazy I've kept this spirit and JT I haven't seen him in the evening yet, but for me when it starts it never stops! That's why I love padel, it's sharing a good time around a beer, putting on music with friends. Here, we find a very good team. When the evening starts, you can do an interview, at the end, I'll be there with pleasure!
Thank you, it was a pleasure!
