During the final of the Acapulco P1, a funny little exchange on the bench between Agustín Tapia et Arturo Coello. Tapia advises Coello to stay mentally present when faced with a Fede Chingotto which, according to him, gives the impression of measuring “one meter ninety-five”! Obviously, Chingotto is far from this size, since it is actually 1 meter 70, which makes him one of the smallest players on the circuit. But his speed and solidity on the field earned him the nickname "the mouse" (the little mouse), a reference to her energetic and elusive acting.

Tapia jokes that Chingotto looks huge on the pitch and even appears “impossible to score a point against him“He reminds Coello of the importance of staying mentally strong so as not to lose patience with such a confusing player.

This moment is all the more interesting because at the World Championships, Tapia had the opportunity to play alongside Chingotto rather than against him, as has been the case all season. This collaboration has undoubtedly given each of the two players keys to better understand each other and adjust their game against the other. It will therefore be interesting to see if this shared experience will influence their future meetings on the circuit.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
