Le  classic of world padel  was back in Riyadh to kick off the season:  Agustín Tapia / Arturo Coello  salary.  Ale Galán / Fede Chingotto A poster that has become the benchmark of the circuit for over two years.
And once again, it's the  World No. 1  who imposed their will, with a clear victory  6 / 4 6 / 2 .

 A first set locked down in the key moments 

In fast conditions, Tapia and Coello quickly found the right rhythm.
Solid in their service, very clean in their exchanges, they made the difference above all in the  money time .

À  4/4 They converted their second break point of the set, before closing it out without faltering.
Revealing statistic:

  •  2 break points earned, 1 converted  for the n°1
  •  0 break point  for Galán / Chingotto

The two pairs produced  18 winning moves , but the difference was made by the mistake:  8 unforced errors for Tapia/Coello compared to 13 for their opponents .

Tapia grew stronger as the set progressed, alternating  perfectly timed lobs and strokes of genius , while Coello locked Chingotto at the net.

 A second one-sided set 

As was often the case against the number 1s, Galán and Chingotto were used to reacting after losing the first set.
This time, the reaction never came.

Early break for Tapia / Coello, maximum intensity, constant pressure on the return: the match definitively turns.
Less consistent, unable to impose their rhythm, the number 2s suffer until the end.

Final score:  6 / 4 6 / 2 , a final controlled from start to finish.

 Number 1s who always raise their level in the final 

However, the week had not been perfect for Tapia and Coello:

  • a set conceded to the French  Blanqué / Guichard 
  • a big fight against  Lebrón / Augsburger 
  • passages less dominant than usual

But as is often the case, they have  raised the bar at the decisive moment .
In the final, they rediscovered their most clinical form.

 Figures that confirm their dominance 

This final was the  30th confrontation  between the two pairs (the  28th in Premier Padel ).
The face-off now moves to  21-9 for Tapia / Coello .

Tapia also surpasses Galán in the number of titles:
 54 titles for the Argentinian versus 53 for the Spaniard , a first.

With this success:

  •  5th consecutive title  (including the end of the previous season)
  •  18th victory in a row 
  •  First title of the season , as last year in Riyadh

 Kings are always the same 

The seasons change, the posters remain.
And at the summit,  Tapia and Coello continue to reign .

Galán and Chingotto remain their main rivals, but in the final, the gap widens even further.
When the number 1 teams play at this level, they leave very little hope.

Riyadh 2026 confirms a trend that has become almost the norm:
 To win a title, you'll still have to go through them.
