You never doubt the world's number 1 for long.

After a few weeks where they seemed slightly less dominant despite their consistent presence in the final,  Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia  set the record straight at  Asunción P2 .

And what a way to do it.

Opposed in the semi-finals to  Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger , the same ones who had beaten them in the final of the  Brussels P2 The “Golden Boys” delivered a true demonstration to secure the victory.  6 / 2 6 / 1 .

A padel lesson. Quite simply.

 The revenge of the number ones 

The failure in Brussels was still fresh in everyone's minds.

In Belgium, Coello and Tapia had struggled throughout the week before falling to a formidable duo of Lebrón and Augsburger in the final.

But in Paraguay, the world's number ones responded in the best possible way.

Already impressive in the quarter-final against Nieto and Sanz, they this time completely stifled the world number 4s in a one-sided semi-final.

 45-minute demonstration 

The match was practically over in 45 minutes.

From the very first exchanges, Coello and Tapia imposed a monstrous intensity. More aggressive, more precise, more powerful, they took complete control of the match.

Opposite them, Lebrón and Augsburger seem to be starved of oxygen.

The Spanish-Argentine duo, so inspired in Brussels, never find their rhythm. Their attacks are neutralized, and their defense collapses under the constant pressure of the world's number one players.

After a balanced start to the match until  2/2 The Coello/Tapia machine is definitely getting underway.

Result:
a huge period of dominance that propels them to a first set victory  6/2 .

 The steamroller continues 

And the second set will be even more brutal.

Coello and Tapia immediately launched another attack and inflicted a terrible  5/0  to their adversaries.

Lebrón and Augsburger are completely outclassed.

Even their coach can't find a way to stem the storm. Instructions are flying from the bench, but the world number ones are simply unplayable.

Very few unforced errors, constant aggression, incredible defenses and an almost inhuman quality of finishing.

The final score of  6 / 2 6 / 1  perfectly reflects the total domination of the world ranking leaders.

 The true face of the number ones is back 

Since the start of the season, Coello and Tapia had sometimes shown some doubts despite their consistency.

Always present in the final, but less “invincible” in terms of feel.

In Asunción, they clearly reverted to their steamroller form.

This version stifles opponents, imposes a hellish pace, and sometimes gives the impression that the match is over before the first point is even scored.

 A 21st consecutive final 

With this victory,  Coello and Tapia are playing in their 21st consecutive final  on the circuit Premier Padel.

And to go for a third title in 2026, they will now have to beat their main rivals:
 Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto .

Paraguay therefore faces another epic final.
