Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia have struck again. The world number ones win the final of the  Paris Major  face  Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto  (6/1 6/4) and won their third consecutive title at Roland-Garros.

A first set shipped

From the very first exchanges, Tapia sets the tone. He takes charge, dictates the exchanges, and, with Coello, breaks the deadlock without flinching. On the other side, Galán and Chingotto make a series of mistakes, pushed around by the opponent's intensity. The contrast is enormous:  12 winning shots for only one unforced error  among the number 1s, against 9 errors and 5 winning points for their rivals. Logically, the set falls 6/1.

Galán and Chingotto wake up... but too late

The second act started better for Galán, who was finally aggressive and precise. But Coello took over: monstrous smashes, runs off the court, a rock-solid defense... At 1/1, Galán and Chingotto were broken and chasing the score. They pushed, even offering themselves a break point at 5/4, but Tapia and Coello didn't hesitate and sealed the deal 6/4.

As is often the case in major matches, the Golden Boys raise their game at the key moment. Coello has a near-perfect stats sheet:  16 winning points for only 5 direct errors This explains why, despite a good reaction, Galán and Chingotto are unable to turn things around.

Not really a rivalry

It's here  fourth consecutive victory  for Tapia and Coello against the Spanish-Argentine pair. There was talk of rivalry after the semi-finals, but for now the reality is clear: the number 1s are largely dominant. Are they said to be more vulnerable in slow conditions? They prove the opposite. On the volley, in defense, in tactical variations, they are impregnable. Yesterday, Galán and Chingotto were coming off an impressive semi-final, to the point of almost arriving as favorites for this final. Tapia and Coello, for their part, had shown some signs of wavering the day before. But today, when it came to raising the tone, the number 1s were impregnable: solid in the hot moments, clinical when it counted. That's the difference between great players... and the masters of the circuit.

Paris belongs to them

With this new title, Tapia and Coello have further cemented their throne. Three Paris Majors in a row, unchallenged domination: Roland-Garros is their kingdom, and for now, no one can dislodge them.
