Agustín Tapia  et  Arturo Coello  continue their great run. By winning the final of the  Tarragona Premier Padel P1  face  Alejandro Galán  et  Fede Chingotto , the world number 1s win their  37nd title together , thus surpassing the legendary duo  Bela / Lima  to become the  second most successful pair  in the history of men's padel.

A close first set... until Tapia said stop

The start of the match is balanced on paper, but the reality is quite different:  Galan and Chingotto  must be employed in each service game, while  Tapia and Coello  unfold almost quietly. Solid at the net, dominant on the smash, the world number ones leave few openings.

The number 2s are still hanging on.  They save the furniture , resist, defend, but all this is only  survival The set ended in a tie-break, which is where Tapia  press the accelerator , and when he does, padel becomes a one-sided game. In a few points, the Argentinian crushes the game, and  the tie-break is won 7-3 . As is often the case in this duel, the difference is in the  important moments .

Another fatal money-time for Galán and Chingotto

The second set is balanced.  Galan and Chingotto  raise their voices, refuse to open up to opposing attacks by playing more tensely and hold their serve.

But again, at  6/5 , Tapia and Coello raise their game. They push, go to the net, impose their law. They get a decisive break and conclude the match:  7 / 6 7 / 5 .

Fourth consecutive title and a summer in charge

With this victory,  Tapia and Coello win their 4th consecutive tournament . Once again, it is at mid-season that they widen the gap on  Chingotto / Galan , who have not  never managed to win more than four tournaments in a row  since their association.

They leave Tarragona with a new  trophy , an  historical record , and confirmation that in 2025 again,  They are the bosses of world padel .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
