Le  Tarragona Costa Daurada P1  promises to be a transitional tournament... but also one of  major new features  ! Yes  Malaga  was marked by a cascade of forfeits,  the Catalan P1 will not be left out , with major adjustments in both the men's and women's tables. A review of the key facts.

 Lebrón and Stupa: The Return 

Absent in Malaga,  Juan Lebrón  will return to the circuit alongside  Franco Stupaczuk . The duo will be  number 3 seed  and should, barring any surprises, be physically and mentally ready to return to the title hunt.

 Di Nenno associated with Augsburger 

Big surprise too:  Martín Di Nenno  teams up with  Leo Augsburg . An unprecedented duo between a player  experienced and regular  and a young, raw, explosive, but sometimes inconsistent talent. The challenge will be to find the balance... and why not create a surprise for their first tournament together.

Today's bomb, two new pairs in Tarragona: Augsburguer/Di Nenno and Cardona/Tello

 Momo González – Edu Alonso, a temporary reunion 

In the absence of injured Jon Sanz,  Momo González  exceptionally reforms the duo with  Eduardo Alonso , with whom he shone in 2024. A pair that will occupy the  6th place in the table .

 Cardona with Tello: change of scenery 

 paul cardona  will form for the occasion a  new pair with Juan Tello , while  Di Nenno  tries it with Augsburger.

 Unprecedented unions at the bottom of the table 

Other new associations are appearing:

  •  Álvaro Cepero  with  Andres Fernandez Lancha 
  •  Agustin Torre  with the promising  Enzo jensen 

So many combinations that will be worth following closely in the first rounds.

 Among the women: some notable separations 

The top of the women's table remains stable, but at the bottom,  The tournament marks the end of several associations . Notably :

  •  Noa Canovas and Jimena Velasco , who will separate after Tarragona
  •  Lucia Peralta  will not play with it anymore  Lorena Vano , and will now partner with the Russian  Ksenia Sharifova 

This tournament could well be the scene of a final hurrah before a summer that is likely to be hectic for pairs. Next, head to  Madrid in September .
