The 2025 season of Premier Padel will soon have experienced its first major reshuffle in the associations of the men's circuit. While some expected a large movement, this start of the "transfer window" is ultimately limited to a strategic exchange between two pairs, with already very concrete consequences in the ranking.
Di Nenno and Garrido are finished. Tello and Libaak too.
Martin Di Nenno and Javi Garrido, which until now formed the seed n ° 5 on the registration boards, should end their collaboration after a series of mixed results. On the other side, Juan Tello and Tino Libaak, in full progression but outside the top 8, should also end their joint project.
This change is particularly beneficial to Tello and Libaak, who, without being seeded so far, now enter the top 8 thanks to their new partners. With their respective new pairs, Di Nenno / Tello et Garrido / Libaak become protected pairs in the tables, avoiding collisions with big players from the eighth round.
A disrupted ranking
Here's what the world top 8 would now look like, after the moves:
- Tapia / Coello
- Galan / Chingotto
- Lebrón / Stupaczuk
- Yanguas / Nieto
- Gonzalez / Sanz
- Di Nenno / Tello
- Navarro / Bergamini
- Garrido / Libaak
This change notably brings out Alex Arroyo and Edu Alonso of the top 8, while Leo Augsburger and Pablo Cardona, very close to this strategic threshold, descend to the tenth position, far from the protection that this status confers.
Last tournament for old pairs
Le Qatar Major, which will play the 11 to 19 April, will be the last appearance of the pairs By Nenno / Garrido et Tello / Libaak. From the following tournaments (Asunción, Buenos Aires or the still uncertain P1 of Spain), the new associations will take effect.
This tournament will also serve as a turning point in the fight for the top of the rankings and the dynamics of the season.
Galán and Chingotto attack the Race
If you FIP ranking determines the tables, the Race 2025, it only takes into account the results of the current season. It is therefore crucial for the qualification to Premier Padel Barcelona Tour Finals.
For now, these are Juan Lebrón and Franco Stupaczuk who dominate, strong from their title in Cancun. But Galan and Chingotto, buoyed by their victories in Miami and Santiago, are already positioning themselves as the main pursuers.
Also note the unexpected presence of Gonzalo Alfonso and Tolito Aguirre, who are taking advantage of the partial boycott of the circuit by certain headliners to accumulate important points.
On the side of Di Nenno and Garrido, their separate departure is also understood by a Very disappointing race: only 450 points accumulated. A quick reaction will be necessary if they hope to participate in the final stages in December.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
