Except nice surprise before Christmas, the centers of padel will remain mostly closed.

It will be necessary to hold for all the tennis clubs and padel. The government has confirmed that the reopening of the sports halls could only take place from January 2021. And again: provided that the situation is improving.

Deconfinement starts with shops

However, the government also explained that a deconfinement process would begin in December, notably with the reopening of stores. Fortunately for the businesses, because economically, there was nothing worse for them as well.

But is this process compatible with the ambition to reopen the sports halls next January? Not sure, there will certainly be a lot of people in the shops in December. It's a safe bet that the health crisis will continue in January...

Regarding amateur sports competitions, there is still a very little hope of seeing some authorized under conditions for January. But in our opinion, we can already postpone to February at best.

The recent past of this situation has already shown us the process of deconfinement.

About the Roxana Maracineanu, the Minister Delegate in charge of Sports on BFM are clear: “The reopening of stadiums and sports halls could only be done from January 2021, if the situation improves".

A relaxation for sports halls

The positive note: it is the relaxation of the conditions to access a gym.

First, all tennis or tennis players padel considered professionals can continue to train. The most complicated for them is therefore to find an open club to hit the ball. Indeed, the padel being still an amateur sport in France, and in the meantime we hope the CNE, there is no official structure such as INSEP or CREPS to accommodate the best ranked players.

But the good news is the possibility of playing players for medical reasons, within the framework of their rehabilitation, of physical problems, for psychological reasons… And we could note that a certain number and not insignificant of the medical profession found it quite logical to issue medical certificates to people with a lack of sports.

Here again, the difficulty is to find open clubs. Can they open for a few people with a certificate? More generally, these are outdoor sports that seem to be popular, since we know the transmission of the virus is less important outdoors. By extension, padel and tennis can they soon be played outdoors or semi-indoors?

Proof of this tolerance: swimming pools are more easily accessible with a medical certificate.

A priority is given to the youngest : associations and children can / will be able to play sports under certain conditions in sports clubs. Is it profitable enough for sports centers? Of course not. But it's a start. Of course, structures must not lose their advantages if they partially reopen.

We are not yet out of this crisis. The FFT could soon communicate on its decisions taken to help tennis / beach tennis / clubs. padel after a very important COMEX meeting yesterday.
