Collaboration between Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini, is pushing the boundaries in 2025 with the BL002. This limited edition of 5 units combines the technological innovation of padel with the audacity of Italian automotive design. I had the privilege of testing this pala in preview during an intensive day on the field, and here is my detailed analysis of this object already coveted in the world of padel.

BL001 → BL002: Key developments
In 2024, the BL001, an ultra-exclusive racket designed for offensive players seeking raw power, was born in Sant'Agata Bolognese, at the headquarters of Automobili Lamborghini, thanks to a partnership with the R&D teams of Babolat. Handcrafted and inspired by the chassis of sports cars, it made an impression with its unique combination of the automotive world and padel.
In 2025, the BL002 changes course: entirely designed and optimized in Babolat Padel A studio near Barcelona, it now combines the French company's technological expertise with Italian know-how in bold design and high-performance carbon fiber. Lamborghini engineers traveled to Spain to oversee the integration of materials, ensuring craftsmanship and performance worthy of the brand's cars.

Captivating design: the legacy of supercars

From the first glance, the BL002 seduces with its charisma. Available in All Black for understated elegance or Scandal Green for a bold touch, it draws inspiration from the iconic colors of the Huracán and Aventador models. The Lamborghini logo prominently featured on the frame, the visible 3K carbon fiber patterns, and a remarkably precise finish make it a true collector's item. On the court, its brilliant shine reflects the high-performance philosophy of both brands, captivating all eyes with distinctive elegance.

During my test of the Babolat x Lamborghini BL002, I was seduced by its stability and remarkable balance from the first exchanges. With a well-distributed weight, an isometric shape, and a generous and fairly centered sweetspot, this racket offers an intuitive grip and controlled management of offensive scenarios, facilitating powerful shots, even off-center or in motion. The combination of 3K carbon, Koridion frame, and MultiEva sponge delivers spectacular energy restitution, with explosive power on smashes and viboras, accompanied by a sound reminiscent of a Lamborghini in Sport mode, while maintaining precise control. Its versatility impressed me: as effective in attack as in defense, it allows you to vary the rhythms without losing stability, comfort, or maneuverability. Expecting a more rigid core, I was surprised by the approach of Babolat, which, unlike the BL001, targets a wider audience, including intermediate to advanced players.
