Since the beginning of the season, we feel that something is happening in the world of French padel, with the massive arrival of young stars. Timéo Fonteny and Yoan Boronad… Louise Bahurel… Olivier Guy de Chamisso, Jérémy Robert, Louis Jover… In short, the list is long!
Just last week, we had the French Youth Championships where we were able to follow a large majority of these rising stars.
The meteoric rise of Fonteny / Boronad
Again this weekend, we had proof that the most seasoned French players have every interest in being wary of these young promises... First example: the victory of Arthur Hugounenq and Timeo Fonteny against Julien Seurin and Maxime Moreau (TS3) during the FIP Rise Bandol. A surprise victory, in two sets and a surprising Timéo Fonteny on the left!
This is not the first time that the home player Nox demonstrates his talent, alongside his partner Yoan Boronad. In July, the two French people had an incredible performance: a victory in P1000, their first title in P1500, the final at the TNJ. In August, they were crowned French U18 champions.
The performance of Guy De Chamisso / Robert
However, it's not just them in France. Head to the P1000 My Center Palavas which took place this weekend with the enormous performance ofOlivier Guy De Chamisso et Jeremy Robert, who triumphed in Hérault. A victory in two sets in the final, against two big names in French padel: Ludovic Cancel and Benjamin Grué. On their way to the title, they notably beat Destombes / Forichon and Delvienne / Durand.
This is obviously not the first time this season that these two young people have been noticed. Olivier Guy de Chamisso had notably argued a P1000 final in Brittany and had a great performance with Tom Couturier, another young person on the rise, at P1000 Casa Padel.
Jérémy Robert, for his part, created the feat alongside Tom Basso au Master TNJ by beating Fonteny / Boronad (TS1) last July, putting an end to the incredible series of young Catalans.
Other young people to keep an eye on
Of course, we must not forget Louise Bahurel among the girls. This season, we will note in particular three victories in P1500: 4PADEL Bordeaux, Grenoble and Toulon. A final in P1000 also, alongside Camille Sireix. But also a quarter-final at the FIP Rise Biella with Lucile Pothier. Since the start of the season, Louise Bahurel has revealed herself more and more!

Among the boys again, we cited: Thomas Basso, Tom Couturier, Louis Jover, Joshua Schbeir, the Bekhedda sisters, Barla / Lambert-Agosti... young players on the rise that the pillars of padel in France should be wary of.
In any case, the succession seems well assured in France!
It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
